![]() ![]() branch and bowstring (sinew+sinew) can create bows that could have nice bonus (speed/dexterity - you want the one with speed, b/c you can boost dex and str with tormented souls, but only late game since tormented souls are kind of rare), or you can sell them for some nice money if they have something you don't want. Logs are also great for creating 2 branches and wood chips. You can have a steady supply of resurrection scrolls from Arhu that restocks like everyone else (level up/one hour real time), BUT also every time he changes his form (from man to cat and vice versa), so you could get 8 resurrection scrolls in single conversation (he generally changes forms in dialogs). ![]() You'll need pixie dust for everything wearable I told you (tooth, tusk), so get all the pixie dust you can get - iirc Icara (white which) sells 4 each time you level up/after every real time hour of game. Long tusk with thread gives you +1 loremastery (this is only craftable item that gives +1 loremastery, and it's a good skill to have - tells you about enemy resistances, even more stats when higher, and you don't have to pay for identification). Teeth can create arrowheads (with dagger/knife) (I think it was stunning, not sure), and with thread/rope/ring kit gear that increases your charisma (you can have +4 charisma with belt, two rings and amulet made from teeth). I also collect Drudanae plant, putting it on an arrowhead gives you charming arrowhead - more charm is always good. Get both oil and ooze barrel with you (dipping arrowheads in them gives you cheap arrows, combining 2 poisoned arrowheads give you poison clouds arrowhead, you put it on a shaft and you get gas AoE that's burnable/explodable!) If you'll play archer, get all shafts and arrowheads. Magic robes you create get some fine gold (with barter and charisma, you could get 300g-400g at lower levels per robe, having 10 cloth scraps nets you 3-4k) You could have crafting 5 as soon as level 5 (maybe even sooner), and there are lots of cloth scraps to be found in first town. Get empty perfume bottles, they're good for making love bombs - charm AoE: could charm multiple enemies and make them fight for you, be a meatshield and AI prefer to attack them over your guys (kind of dumb, but OK.) - It's like mimic beacon in XCom 2.Ĭharm lasts for 3 turns iirc, so have that in mind also (you can target charmed guys, so once they survive and are about to lose, take some free HP chipping). I took Jahan with me (mage and scientist), gave him gear and points for crafting 5 (this is more important than blacksmithing, that's useful only later - after level 14) and used Wolgraf as blacksmith guy - he made stuff I sold for some 1000g+ late game (not that I really needed money, anyway). You could also, if you're not playing double lone wolf, chose companion (they level with you) you won't use and give it items/talent/ability points to buff it to both blacksmith and crafting, if you don't want to do it yourself. You can find gear that could give you +2 to blacksmith and crafting (belt and gloves are the only things that can have +1 blacksmith and/or crafting), you get +1 both with scientist talent, and you can get +1 crafting with trait (only on main characters, companions don't have traits), so you could potentially need only 4 ability points (1 in crafting on main and 3 for +2 in blacksmith). Pixie dusts are also useful, ring kits might be fun, but don't buy if they're over 500g (same effect as those 1500g+, don't know what's the deal with that).Ĭloth scraps and leather scraps (and hides you can use to make them) are also nice money maker if you have crafting 5. You can use all those forks and knives you find in homestead and later in Hunter's edge tavern (Act III). You should also hold on on any knife and fork you find, if you have dagger rogue, with blacksmith 5 you can have +1/2/3 on speed/dexterity (you'll want speed), and also a good source of income when you roll "+1 maximum action points". As for the perception, you don't need too much of it (I think 12 is enough for everything), but saving stat points with scope for your ranger (that wants perception for accuracy/crit/traps/hidden treasures) saves stat points for other things (like speed). ![]() Tormented souls give +1/2/3 (lvl 1-14, 14-22, 22+) Dexterity AND speed to a weapon, sextants/scopes give perception to X/bows (1/2/3 also). You want to hold on these for higher level (15+). Tormented souls and sextants are kind of rare (sextants/scopes are really, really, rare, like 1 per campaign afaik).
